The Training Course

“A Week to Remember in Baia de Fier – Our Experience with 3, 2, 1…SET.C.!”

Between 15 and 25 June 2025, we had the opportunity to take part in an unforgettable Erasmus+ Training Course: “3, 2, 1…SET.C.!”, hosted in the picturesque mountain village of Baia de Fier, Romania. For 10 days, the place became our shared home, where youth workers from Romania, Greece, Spain, Bulgaria, and Hungary came together to learn, collaborate, and connect.

The focus of the training was on how to use video and digital tools in youth work — not just to promote activities, but to truly engage young people, foster inclusion, and create meaningful learning experiences. We explored topics like storytelling, filming, editing, and using video as an educational method. But the real strength of the project was in how practical and hands-on everything was. We didn’t just talk about video — we created it, from scratch, in mixed teams.

Beyond the workshops, the atmosphere was full of energy and cultural richness. We shared traditional food and dances during the intercultural night, helped each other across language barriers, and built friendships that we’ll carry far beyond the project.

One of the most emotional moments was the Oscar Night – a surprise closing ceremony where we received Oscar trophies. Whether it was “Best Movie”, “Best Editor” or “Best Sound,” every single one felt personal and special. We laughed, cheered, and even teared up. It was a beautiful way to end a powerful journey.

We all left Baia de Fier not only with new skills and tools, but with a deep sense of connection, motivation, and inspiration. This project reminded us why we do youth work and how much impact we can have when we work together creatively and openly.

We are proud for making this project possible. Until we meet again… 3, 2, 1…SET.C.!
